Possible causes include temporary restarts, firewall or DDoS protection blocking our probe IP, wrong edition selected, wrong port, DNS pointing at an old host, or a proxy that only accepts Minecraft clients. Retry in a minute, confirm host:port with the server owner, and try both Java and Bedrock if the network is crossplay.
